Kemp Mill Synagogue's
19th Annual Banquet

About Kemp Mill Synagogue...

The Kemp Mill Synagogue is a thriving modern orthodox congregation with over 300 member families and a growing youth component of over 500 children. KMS began in a private home with its first service in 1990. Through a grassroots effort, KMS developed and constructed a permanent building, which has been the congregation’s home since 1998. KMS is committed to providing serious and inspiring communal tefila and sophisticated Torah study. With four minyanim every Shabbat morning, multi-levels of adult education, youth programming on Shabbat and holidays and youth learning opportunities through high school, KMS fuels the mind and the soul. KMS also provides assistance to local charities in the greater Washington area, with periodic community service days and projects. All of these activities are informed by KMS’ deep connection to the state of Israel. This dedication is further demonstrated through its guest lecture series, tefilot for the medina, and the tzedaka initiatives that benefit Israel and its institutions.
